I've loved writing since I was a kid. I'm a bit of a graphomaniac. I have floppy disks and flash drives filled with old stories. Composition notebooks. Ideas or sentences written on cocktail napkins and receipts. Multiple online journals. Several half-filled leatherbound journals. I like to dissect things and write them down, perhaps believing that if I don't capture each thought as it comes, it will somehow evaporate into nothingness. I'm dichotomous in that I find myself torn between the idealistic and the pragmatic, sometimes excessive on both ends. I'm perceptive and focus on minutiae, which stems from being almost obsessively thoughtful and introspective; however, I also have this desire to be larger-than-life, which has more to do with the passionate and artistic side of me. I'm an avid reader, which goes hand-in-hand with being a writer. I read both fiction and non-fiction. I love both science and politics and hope to somehow be involved in both at some point. I want to start a journalism business and perhaps branch into other forms of media later. I have no set style. I listen to all different types of music. I love Grey Goose martinis, dirty, but most of the time you'll find me at a local bar with a pitcher and a pint glass. I like surrounding myself with creative, intelligent, charismatic people. I want to learn different languages and travel. I want to go to operas in Italy, hunt Caribou in Alaska, backpack through Koh Samui and charter a plane to South Africa for a weekend. I want to learn Parkour. I want to learn piano. I'm sure there's much more, but you'll have to know me to figure that out.
